Negation of a verb

Add in front of the verb
For example:
我不是中国人Wǒ bùshì zhōngguó rén - I am not chinese

Possession

Add 的 between nouns.
For example:
我的猫是漂亮 - My cat is pretty

Time

Chinese modifiers can be substituted for actual times.
今天 - Today
明天 - Tomorrow
昨天 - Yesterday
现在是八点半*。
The time is 8:30.

All time follows the structure:
现在(hour)点(minute)分。

明天我八点去学校。
Tomorrow, I go to school at 8.
